She is crawling!!!

So this morning I was putting my makeup on, and I just glanced over at Averi and watched her for a few minutes. Well she was just playing and minding her own little business and then I saw her get on all 4's and she kinda crawled. It wasn't a real long way but she did it. I was so happy.... Well tonight we were at my cousin's birthday party and of course we took Averi, we were just sitting around eating cake. (before we actually ate dinner LOL) Kyle and I were sitting on the floor and my mom and aunt went to go get pizza, and then Amber went to tend to Kali. Well Kyle had set Averi in one spot and stuck her toy across from her a little ways, and once again she crawled. It took her a few minutes but she did it. Man she is only 7 months old. I just cannot believe how much my little girl is growing. It just seemed like I was pregnant with her. I love her so very much. I am so proud of how well she is doing. So lets see Kyle was walking by 8 months and I was walking by 9 so it is a good possibility that she will be walking very soon. I always told myself that she was going to skip the crawling stage and go straight to walking. We will see how long it takes before she is up and walking and running away from us. I just love to see little kids running away from their parents thinking its a game, well it soon will be a game with us..... WOW I love being a mommy to my little Averi girl!!!!!

Update on Kyle

So some of you may know that in December, Kyle was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease. He had been feeling really sick and his stomach had hurt and everything. That started about the beginning of November. He just wasn't himself. He could hardly eat, stand up straight. So he had been going to a Dr and that one wasn't sure what was wrong. They did xrays, urine samples, blood tests. Then he said that it is a possibility that he could have IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). They gave him meds and they made him sick. I thought it was probably about time to establish a family Dr and so we did. Kyle called made an appt, that dr couldn't really tell what was wrong. He felt his stomach and Kyle said it hurt where is appendix was. Well the dr thought maybe he should have a cat scan. He went and got one and then that night we got a call from the dr telling him that he needed to be admitted ASAP because they found an abcess on his small intestine. So we went to the hosptial on Dec 19. He was put on IV antibiotics and they seemed to work just fine because he was feeling great. Well they released him on the 22nd. They had given him some more meds to take. Well in the meantime of all of this going on he had been losing weight. (not like he had weight to lose) So that was a concern of the drs. While on this medication he still felt sick and was losing MORE weight. So he had like 3 more cat scans and they said that the medication was working for a while and then his abcess hit a plateau and didnt get any smaller like it should. So they we decided to go with surgery because we knew for sure that the abcess was going to be gone and we wouldnt have to deal with it anymore. He had an appt. with the surgeon on Jan. 12, well he had called the gastro doc to ask some questions on Jan 10. and then he just basically told Kyle that he was going to be admitted again because he was really sick. So once again he was admitted the night of the 10th and then it was just a waiting game. He was put on antibiotics again. We were told that he wasnt leaving until he had surgery. So the surgeon ended up coming to Kyle's room and meeting with us.... Well he told us everything that he was going to do which was wonderful because he spent so much time talking to us and making sure that we had understood everything that was going to happen in surgery. He has surgery Jan. 13 and he went so well. But poor Kyle had lost so much more weight in the hospital because he was on ice chips for 5 days. We first go to the hospital he weighed 154 and when we got home he was under 140. But we got him home and it took a while for him to gain strength back but he did and he was out of work for 5 weeks. He went back to work on President's Day. Kyle is doing wonderful he weighs just over 160, so he is gaining his weight back slowly but surely. His Crohn's isnt gone but the active part they had cut out when they removed his abcess, oh yeah and they took his appendix too. So now he is just on meds for ever and lets hope we will never have to go thru this again. But there is just a little scoop of what has gone on with us lately!!!!

Lovin the life of "MOM"

I hate to go to work and leave my little smiley face girl in the mornings or afternoons. She just brightens up my day. One of the best feelings in the world is when I get off work I come home or go pick her up from Gramma Noni or Grandma Crawley's house and she has the biggest smile on her face. Like she missed me all day. For instants today... I went to work this morning and I didn't have a long shift but I still missed my lil punkin face. I got home and she was so excited to see me. I had to go to the bathroom before I picked her up but when I came out of the bathroom she just wanted to spend time with mommy. Aww so sweet. I love it. Then this evening I was doing some stuff for Uppercase Living on the computer and I was on there for a long time well when I came up stairs she was kinda crying but not crying, so I picked her up and she was just fine. All she wanted was a little of mommy's attention. Aww my little girl. Then she started to get fussy while I was holding her and Kyle said that she had eaten not to long ago so I knew she wasn't hungry but she was just really fussy. She has had a runny nose lately and has been coughing, so my first thought was well maybe she doesn't feel good. But we took her temperature and she seemed just fine. Well I gave her some teething tablets and sure enough that did the trick. She was just fine and back to happy little Averi. Wow I can't believe she is getting more teeth. The Dr's are just impressed on how well she is doing, she weighs 19lbs and 3oz and she is 28 1/2 inches long. HOLY COW. They say she is the height of a 1 year old. I have a tall little girl!!!!! She just needs to slow down!!!! But I love her to death......

Not so little anymore!

My little Averi is just growing up... I can't believe it. She is 6 months old now and before we know it she is going to be crawling!!! I bet with in the next 2 weeks she will be, she has a drive to want to crawl but just hasn't yet...She has learned how to clap also!!! The other day she was puckering up like she was trying to give you a kiss but of course she wouldn't give you a kiss, and that same day she just started clicking her tongue. Not really with her tongue inside her mouth on the outside but making the same noise... Last night we had a bunch of family over for the super bowl and I was down stairs on the computer looking at wedding stuff with Amber and I got a text message from Kyle and it said "Averi is saying dadada!" WOW could my daughter really be at the stage of talking. I mean I know she has her little baby babbles but really could it be..... I mean she is only 6 months, I know some kids do things sooner but hmmm i just dont know... I am sure she has no idea what it means because she is just saying it. We try to get her to say "DADA" and MUMMUM" and she looks like she is mouthing it to us but wow my baby is getting so big!!! I just can't even believe it.... I bet when we go to the Dr. tomorrow he will be impressed with how well she is progressing.... Our next step is to teach her sign language... I think it will be a great learning tool for her and Kyle and I....
Until next time....
